Veteran Strong Safety for New England Patriots

Gregory, a veteran strong safety in the NFL, played his first six seasons with the San Diego Chargers. The New England Patriots quickly scooped Gregory up at the beginning of the 2012 free agency period, signing him to a 3-year deal.
Gregory recorded 67 tackles in 2011, as a starter with the Chargers, and had his first career interception return for a touchdown, Week 14 against Buffalo. In his six-year career with San Diego, Gregory played in 85 games, recording 241 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions and one touchdown.

SG Squad

Gregory formed the “SG Squad,” a nonprofit foundation whose goal is to promote fitness, education and healthy lifestyles for the students, educators and administrators of the San Ysidro School District, an area south of San Diego near the Mexican border. The foundation rewards the hardest working students with school supplies, clothing and Chargers tickets. This past year, the SG Squad also hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway for low-income families and a holiday bowling party where each child received a new pair of shoes for the holidays. Beyond San Diego, the SG Squad has also lent assistance to the Little Falls High School football team in Little Falls, New York. In 2008, Gregory received a President’s Volunteer Service Award from the President’s Council on Physical Fitness for his work with the SG Squad.
